Welcome to WebTools
Creating a new UConn website and don’t know where to start? Modifying an existing website? Looking for guidance or just need a handy reference?
The WebTools site is your primary resource for development and maintenance of websites that exist in the UConn and Health Center domains. The site outlines the University’s web standards and provides web-based tools to assist in the creation of robust UConn websites. It is offered through collaboration between University Information Technology Services (UITS), University Communications, and the UConn Health Center Office of Communications.
Why do we have web standards?
As a nationally prominent institution of higher education, the University of Connecticut must communicate a clear and consistent identity to our external audiences. The web standards were instituted as a presidential initiative in 2000 to help achieve this critical objective. Applicable to the entire University, the standards have been embraced and well-received by the University community.
