Welcome to the Office of Diversity and Equity

The Office of Diversity and Equity (ODE) is responsible for diversity and equity initiatives and programs that encompass all UConn schools and campuses, including the University of Connecticut Health Center.

This Office assists in the development of programs, training, outreach and compliance efforts to ensure the University's commitment to a harassment and discrimination free environment.

ODE provides support and advice to all University offices on recruitment and retention issues, sexual harassment prevention training, diversity, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Although the Office has been charged with ensuring the University's compliance to federal, state, and local affirmative action and equal opportunity laws, providing affirmative action and equal opportunity is the shared responsibility of the entire University community.
