Graduate Programs in Gifted Education



The Neag Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development provides multiple pathways for interested graduate students to pursue advanced-level courses. Students have opportunities to gain in-depth knowledge about identifying and serving students for special programs and services to develop their gifts and talents. Graduate students may choose programs suited to their needs and their desire to learn more about the education of gifted and talented.

Master of Arts Degree Program and Sixth Year Certificate

Students interested in the Master of Arts Degree Program or Sixth Year Certificate may pursue their studies fulltime on campus, on-line, or through a combination of campus and on-line program offerings. Students who enroll in these programs would like to be teachers of gifted and talented students or program coordinators.

Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Psychology

The Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in gifted and talented education prepares individuals for leadership roles as program coordinators, curriculum specialists, state education agency directors, or teachers and researchers in colleges and universities.
