Public Engagement

“Outreach, service, and public engagement are essential components of the mission of our University. To nurture and expand these activities, I have established a Provost’s Commission on Public Engagement, and Dr. Robert McCarthy, Dean of the School of Pharmacy, has agreed to serve as Director of this important enterprise.

I am confident that the UConn community, including our proactive Public Engagement Forum, will succeed in giving great impact to the collaborative efforts of our students, faculty, and staff.  We seek to engage the broadest range of external constituents as partners in defining, solving, and evaluating important challenges facing our communities, our nation, and our world.”
