In accordance with Connecticut General Statue 12-412(9) sales tax is charged to those customers that are not affiliated with the University. If you are using a credit card, debit card or cash for your food purchases, you must show your UConn ID card and have it swiped two times by the cashier: once to identify you as a University member and the second time to remove the tax. By producing your card, sales tax will not be applied to your purchase. PLEASE NOTE: It is your responsibility to verify your affiliation to the University by providing your ID card to our cashiers in order to have your transaction tax exempt. Once your payment card is swiped, there is no way to void the sales tax charge.
Husky Bucks & Sales Tax: All University employees have a Husky Bucks account already set up on their ID cards, which is tax exempt by default for food and drink. If you are paying for your food purchases with Husky Bucks, there will only be one card swipe to complete your purchase. Go to www.onecard.uconn.edu to learn all about the different ways you can load money onto your Husky Bucks account.

Chuck & Augie's Restaurant will be closed the week of July 4th - Friday, July 8th. The restaurant will re-open Monday, July 11th for normal summer hours of operation.

Dining Unit Summer Hours of Operation
Summer dining unit hours begin on Monday, May 9th. All open units will be serving for the following hours: Breakfast from 7:00am - 9:30am; Lunch from 11:00am - 1:30pm; Dinner from 4:30pm - 7:00pm. The only dining units that will be open are:
May 16 - August 14: South
August 15 - August 21: McMahon
Summer 2011 Meal Plans/Pricing
The Department of Dining Services will be offering two meal plans for those students taking summer classes at the UConn Storrs campus. (Students living in traditional residences and are matriculating over the summer are required to have a meal plan.) (South Dining will be the main unit open for summer meals)
