Barry M. Feldman
is vice president and chief operating officer for the University of Connecticut.
Feldman earned a doctorate in political science from UConn and has served as an adjunct professor of public administration and public policy at the University since 1996. He has researched and published in the areas of public entrepreneurship, taxpayer preferences and employee relations.
Feldman joined the University of Connecticut after a 21-year tenure as West Hartford town manager. He has also served as the city manager of Sterling Heights, Mich. and Portsmouth, Ohio. Feldman has extensive experience in public safety, employee relations, construction oversight, capital improvement planning, infrastructure and facilities management.
Feldman holds a bachelor of science from Eastern New Mexico University and a master of public affairs from Pennsylvania State University. He is also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
