Dietetics

Dietetics is an exciting health care profession!  If you have an interest in food and nutrition this might be the career choice for you. Dietetics prepares you to become the food and nutrition expert.

Becoming a registered dietitian is a three step process:

  • Didactic Coursework
  • Supervised Practice
  • Pass the national registration examination.

Who is the Registered Dietitian?

  • Clinical dietitian in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities
  • Community dietitian working with food programs
  • Director of dietetics at hospital, nursing homes, and in schools
  • Working in wellness programs
  • Self-employed in private practice
  • Working with athletes
  • and much more!
