Recognized nationally for innovation in curriculum, we offer a curriculum that emphasizes the leading developments in the field of accounting while utilizing the most current and practical technologies. We were the first accounting program in New England to receive separate national accreditation by AACSB International, the premier accrediting agency for Bachelor’s, Master’s and doctoral degree programs in business administration and accounting.

Accounting Department Rankings
  • Business Week's 2008 "Undergraduate Specialty Program Rankings" ranks UConn's accounting program #11 nationally.

  • The October 31, 2007 edition of the Public Accounting Report (PAR) ranked UConn's MSA program ranked 18th in its 26th Annual Survey of Accounting Professors. The annual survey asks Accounting professors, department heads and department chairs to identify those undergraduate and graduate programs that offer degrees in Accounting they feel most consistently turn out students capable of some day attaining partner status. The PAR is published semi-monthly by CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business, and is the leading independent newsletter for the Accounting profession.
