At the direction of the Board of Trustees, the University established a comprehensive Compliance Program. The Board of Trustees is committed to this effort and has provided the resources needed to expand the internal audit capacity through the establishment of the “Office of Audit, Compliance & Ethics”(OACE).
OACE is intended to assist faculty, staff and administrators in promoting the highest legal and ethical standards and to ensure that the University meets or exceeds the increasingly numerous and complex federal and state requirements.
The Compliance Department will be a valuable resource for compliance-related information and training. In addition, the department will be responsible for developing compliance policies, overseeing and monitoring compliance activities, and identifying weaknesses in our compliance systems.
The success of the Compliance Program depends on individual and collective cooperation. As members of the University community, we all share a commitment to uphold the highest educational, business, and ethical standards.
